Nothing happens in it and there's not even any unfulfilled tension.

Kermode is a dickhead.

If you want to see some tension, watch No Country For Old Men.
 
Yeah its one of then that no doubt movie execs will love because it is very character driven and no doubt good acting performances are apparent throughout- but for me a film is about the content as well and this i found poor

i dont really care for kermode either, but he knows a lot about film.

no country for old men is good, i saw it when it came out, i felt something was missing though. it's over long and then wraps up really quickly, i feel it should have been half an hour shorter, or longer.
