Theres something missing at the stadium...

Cooke said on tuesday it is not good business at the moment to buy the stadium, plus they get a lot of support from the council. They are looking at developing the area around the stadium though
I think having MCFC in white on the seats is the least of concerns at the moment.

TBF Cooke is an absolute cock.
Now would be the perfect time to buy it, land prices have fallen, everyone is looking for cash and you have it. You would probably get it on the cheap.

it isnt his decision to buy or not he was just passing on the decision the owners had made

Manchester City Council are desperate to redevelop the surrounding areas due to the fiasco of the Casino and B of the Bollox. If we carry on renting the stadium and surrounding areas we will get financial and planning support of the council to help. If we buy we will be out on our own and fighting planning commitee's all the time. The Metro link will be extended to the stadium in the next 2 years and the club and council will look at more enviromental ways of getting fans in and out of the stadium, including making it a full day destination, to stagger the traffic flow. So expect massive changes to the whole area to start very soon. The council do not like us making any permenant changes to the stadium. The banners on the spirals are easily removed and the lighted signs at main entrances could also come down fairly easy, thatb way if ever we went out of business they could lease the ground to another sports club. Now we have more money, they seem to be easing their attitude and chairs are likley to change colour soonish

Floodlight towers. You can't have a real ground without floodlight towers.
I so miss them... They were like totempoles attracting the masses from afar into battle. If you were playing away, you never needed to ask for directions, just park where the other cars are parked and follow the floodlights
