so fucking what!!! as long as these 'new fans' go to games, i couldnt care less. but if they dont then that pisses me off. however i would love to see us get full attendances even against the likes of wigan, wolves etc, and these newbies are the sort that will help fill the stadium up.

Exactly, look at Arsenal - a lot of African players and along with United are popular in Africa. The club wants to increase the popularity of the club but the owners will want it to hopefully recoup some of the money they have invested in the club.

If it means getting 'glory hunters' to buy our shirts in China or wherever, I don't care as long City always maintains its close link with its fans and isn't 'branded' as a company, but as a football club. Something United has failed on both counts
