i always had a sneaky warmth for the jam.....

i was an OI skin back in the days, rather than the usual nutty boy skin

it was ok for nutty boy skins to like the jam as they were part of the movement and after all the skinheads developed from a lot of the old scooter clubs....i mean FFS, we even pinched the fish tail parka style from the mods

however, as an OI skin (punk) it was always frowned upon to be associated with the likes of the jam, etc

so for me, i kept my record collection very much under wraps and away from my exploited, crass and sham69 collections


saying that i moved immediately on from being a skinhead and grew my hair into a flat-top to follow a certain group, around july 1983 ;)
