I was sat in the dentist waiting room the other day , and , to kill a bit of time , was flicking through a mag aimed at women readers , when i came across (not literally!) a picture of a bit of shirtless male 'beefcake' ..... did I kick up a song and dance about it being demeaning to the male species , or shout out "this is offensive" to the dental receptionist ??

No , did I fuck ...... i just took it like a man ... too many old fuddy duddies around for my liking nowadays , and most of em' are in the house of commons !

It's like the two recent adverts, the Diet Coke advert with the Gardener and the (I think) butter advert where the dog steals the lad's kecks. If these two scenarios were reversed there'd be uproar.

The problem is not that these adverts exist, because we can see the humour in them, it's the hypocrisy when the shoe is on the other foot.

No, it's not hypocrisy. Ads and magazine articles that objectify men are rare and are still seen as a bit cheeky and giggly
