After seeing him in the match tonight I am mightily impressed. I think the only way to fit him into the squad is to sell Milner rather than Barry. I hate to even suggest that but Milners spot is disappearing on the wing and in CM...

2 CMs from: Fernandinho, Yaya, Rodwell or Thiago
1 RM from: Silva, Navas
1 LM from: Nasri, Isco

Barry may be willing to stay as more of a squad player ... like Maicon. Milner is too young to settle for that and would bring in a fair penny if as many teams were as interested as I think would be.

I like Milner but I have seen the future in Thiago :-)
nah, we should keep Milner, versatile player, hard working and brings defensive cover which not too many of those guys would (Fernandinho, Rodwell, Barry and that is it).

I agree Milner has to stay a every team needs a work horse.

I hate to say it but I think we should be looking to replace Barry.

The strongest rumours and speculation regarding this lad all point towards Utd rather than us from what I've been reading, they are certainly favourites anyway, in fact you can get better odds virtually everywhere on Real Madrid signing him rather than us.

That's because I am pretty sure Perez at Madrid has publicy spoke about purchasing Thiago.

We have been quiet as a mouse with our deals so far making it hard to find out what is really gong on with our dealings, don't rule us out.

We haven't been particularly quiet on either Navas or Fernandinho and as a result were always clear favourites, same goes for Isco and to an extent Cavani. The Thiago situation is completely different, do a quick Google/Twitter search and you will see 90% of the stories/posts relate to a move to Utd or Madrid.

I'm not saying its impossible but for me right now it doesn't seem very likely, hope I'm wrong though, he's fucking awesome.

By the time word got around the deals were already done and dusted. We had Fernandinho locked up basically in January.

United have been linked with him for years, plus they are going to be linked with numerous central midfielders unil they sign a decent one to replace Scholes.

Madrids interest has been made public last week by Perez, that's what I read anyway, so you can see the betting odds drifting inwards simply because of that.

Guillem Balague and Graham Hunter on Revista say we are interested and they both have Barca connections by all accounts.

If I was in Thiagos position I would obviously be looking for game time, but also culture in the club. We have now a Spanish speaking manager coming from a good background in Spain; Silva, Kun, Zaba, Navas and potentially Isco and Cavani all speaking Spanish. Spanish director of football and CEO - ex Barca - as well

United have De Gea and Valencia or do they have more Latin influence? Can't think off the top off my head this late..

United will play him more though, that's the only thing Txiki has to really deal with to convice Thiago to come.

Would love him here, Thiago - Fernandinho - Yaya looks top.

Fluent Spanish speakers:
City: Manuel, Garcia, Silva, Navas, Tevez, Zabaleta, Aguero, Yaya, Suarez and possibly Novaretti and Isco.

United: De Gea, Valencia, Hernandez.

great player, I agree. the only problem he has is that he loves himself too much, is overconfident and because of that he lost a lot of balls. his overconfidence is his greatest weakness

This is the one IMO. I reckon this is as important as Cavani and whoever signs him for 17m will get the signing of the season.

Next Xavi.

Are we definitely in for this guy? Tolmie seems to have only laid emphasis on Isco and Cavani, or maybe I've missed something.
