Gundogan , Fernandinho , Kroos/Thiago , Fernando , Delph would be enough not to mention Nasri could do a job in a deeper role

But Delph and Fernando are nowhere near good enough for a team aspiring to win the champions league. Imagine them anywhere near a Barcelona /madrid/bayern starting 11. Bear in mind Gundogan will miss the start of the season. A long term injury to Fernandinho and we'll be down to the bare bones

Fernando I've grown on as a pure defensive midfielder in a three , you're right about Delph. I just can't see us buying two more centre midfielders

It shouldn't be though. We desperately need two more imo. I think CM and fullbacks need a complete overhaul
No we don't. One more CM is plenty enough.

Let's not forget we still have
Gundogan DeBryune, Silva Nasri Dihno, Delph, Nando and possibly Yaya still on the squad. And with the likey purchase of Nolito and Sane, their wouldn't be playing time outside for any of those 8. So yeah, 1 more is all we can take. And that assumes we move on Yaya, and possibly 1 more.

One more CM is correct. But even that requires 1 CM leaving (Yaya). Sane and Nolito means Nasri and Bony have to leave. It seems difficult, since we are not good at selling players.

De Bruyne , Silva, and Nasri are not CM's they are CAMs. Sane and Nolito are wide men/forwards.
Which again only leaves you with a currently injured Gundogan. Fernandinho who is obviously good enough but can't play every game and then Fernando and Delph who are both not good enough.

I'm not even going to count Yaya as his legs have gone and he will not fit in to the Guardiola system

Fernando is better than Casemiro and he played starring role in Madrids champs league win. Delph is a completely unique scenario to our league due to his homegrown status. We have to sacrifice on quality somewhere because of the sheer lack of quality of players from our country, Barca/Madrid have the luxury of the likes of Pique/Ramos/Alba/Busquets/Iniesta/Morata etc etc that qualify as homegrown and Bayern have it just as good whereas we have to fight with more clubs for considerably fewer and vastly inferior players. For a player that knows he's primarily backup, Delph is perfectly adequate and replacing him with somebody better makes no sense, as it means we'll have to sacrifice quality elsewhere on the pitch. Filling homegrown status with backup players like Delph is the most efficient way of doing it other than backup keepers. Comparing him to a squad player from a top team in Europe is utterly pointless.

As a Bayern supporter, I would love for this move to happen. He's struggled a bit lately (partially due to fitness) and I don't really see his fit in Ancelotti's side. Pep is the only manager to get something out of him and we are in more need of an attacking midfielder. Perfect midfielder for Pep and when paired with a defensive minded-coverage midfielder, he'll excel with Gundogan.

Seems everyone is forgetting Pep's use of youth players wherever he's gone aswell. We also have Aleix Garcia who looked like he could make the step up.

EDIT: Not suggesting as a guaranteed starter, but as a squad player in rotation to ease burden on midfielders we do have.

Seems we're after one more CB (Stones), two fullbacks (Peres, ?), one more CM (Thiago) and two more FW (Sane, Nolito).

Not a single Bayern youth player was given a significant role under pep.

We are talking about different things entirely. The premise that we need 2 more CMs is predicated on the argument of who is or isn't good enough ( just as you've outlined above.) However, my claims are based simply in logistics. It's acnumbers game. Currently we have 8 players who are not considered Wingers, Strikers, or defenders. I listed those 8 above.

All 8 invariably will slot in to one of 3 positions in the middle. Even if you are right that they are not good enough (an opinion I somewhat disagree with) it still doesn't change the fact we have to move at least 2 to make room for a new 2.

Gundogan, Silva, Fernando, Delph, DeBryune, and Dihno seem definitely safe from reports. Which means you really already have the 6 (I.E starters and Backups) for all positions. True some may be moved elsewhere (Dihno RB, Delph LB) which will then open 2 spots. But to even fill those 2 spots both Yaya and Nasri will have to be moved.

Right now, that is proving difficult. Assuming we are able to move Yaya and Nasri, redeploy Delph and Dihno, then we can start talking about getting 2 CMs. As it stands now, getting 1 more will be hard enough.

Also redeploying Delph and Dihno will end any meaningful search for fullbacks.

Coman, Kimmich...
Neither Coman nor Kimmich were Bayern youth players. Coman was from France via Juve, and Kimmich from Stuttgart via Leipzig.

I think the point Sudkv is making is not to confuse Pep showing faith in young players he hand picks for showing faith in the team's youth players. These are 2 different things
