The fascination with perceived short term success baffles me, that money would be better spent trying to tie down the long term futures of Garcia, Braaf etc...
I never said money was the solitary component of tying down those players, although it could help in showing how much we value and trust them.Money isn't the issue with tying down our young talents. We offered a record breaking amount to keep Sancho at the club.
Too good to play for a MLS team.Would be a cracking signing for NYCFC
He is still good but the problem is with his age, you don't know when his decline will start. He is asking astronomical wages and he is kinda right because Marquinhos is paid a lot while being far from his level. However, clubs are right not to want to take an huge financial risk either. Imagine he gets injured or declines massively and you are stuck with an old player with 2 year contract. Not the sort of player I would ever suggest we go for too old to expensive in wages. I dont not watch PSG so I dont know how good he still is but I think it might actual make sense. One we keep looking at people who have only just retired to join the coaching staff. We have also in the past moved former players into roles at the club. Player of his quality would be amazing in such a role in retirement. We also have group of young CB (Garcia, THB and possibly Adarabioyo) Who's progress could be blocked by buying our usual younger players and we do need to buy a CB
