Things that are pretty much obsolete.

See the conversation above a few pages back. I suspect more people are hanging on to land lines than we think. One thing that is now gone, though, virtually dead and buried, is telephone boxes. Those that survive seem to be mainly used for pissing in by homeless people (at least, I presume it's homeless people). Oh, and ads for Mandy, who claims to be a “strict disciplinarian”.
Mandy needs to turn her attention to people that piss in phone boxes.

There are also some that now house defibrillators and others used as a decoration outside pubs or in beer gardens.
 
Nah still loads of manual cars in UK and Europe, its still seen as a premium to get an auto, however that will change as we move to electric cars.
I thought that was the case.
Last time I visited UK I ordered a hire car and forgot all about the manual thing.
Until I got in it. Had to remember to change gears.
They died out here many years ago through lack of demand.
