Things to do when staying on International Drive in Orlando.

I'm back from Orlando.... it was absolutely immense.

The Golden Corral - I salute you!

Food is amazing out there, thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Sheikra.. The Hulk... Kraken etc, all fantastic rides!

Wet 'n' Wild though.... what a day out that was!

Thanks for all the tips folks, appreciate it.

oh, and wet 'n' wild
Where we are staying is almost directly facing Wet 'n' Wild! I can't wait folks.

Cheers for all the responses. Noted them all down and intend on doing the lot of them!

June 3rd - I'm counting the minutes!

Oh, has anyone been skydiving whilst visiting Florida? Or base jumping?

Im going to Orlando on the 4th Sept, staying at the Westgate Towers. I have booked a skydive for me and my girlfriend at the Skydive Space Centre. It overlooks the Kennedy Space Centre, Cape Canaveral and the Space Coast beaches. Should be amazing. They also do the worlds highest jumps(?), 18,000 feet!

The Crazy Golf on I-Drive is really good fun AND you can feed baby alligators!!!
Chillies, TGI Fridays,Buffalo Wings, I-hop, Ponderosa,MacD's and the chinese restaurant next to TGI's all good places to eat. There is an English pub and an Irish bar(next to Crazy Golf) on I-Drive which will 100% show matches(i watched robinho's debut for city in there)
Also there is a little funfair on I-Drive with go-karts on a wooden track, its MENTAL!!!

Buffalo Wild Wings is by far my favourite...especially on the $1 beer night - i reccomend you find out when this is, as you will get a belting night of sport, food and beer for not alot of money!

Anyone tried the blazin' challange??

<a class="postlink" href="http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080610152621AALr0IR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 621AALr0IR</a> for those who have not been or heard of it!!

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings on I-Drive and although I didn't do the blazing challenge, I had 18 of the hottest wings, which took me a good 30-40 mins. I was feeling rather pleased with myself as we made the short walk to wet 'n' wild for the afternoon. About 45 mins later and half way up some steps to one of the slides, my arse was twitching like 'Arrys face. Couldn't leave the queue for fear of being ridiculed for not going on the slide. For the next 15 mins, my concentration levels were on a level I have never experienced. The nearest toilet took quite a battering. Good wings though.

the killer whale shows are decent but not as good as they used to be because the trainers can no longer get into the tank with the whales due to the recent accidents there. I mean its still an impressive spectacle but not a patch on what it used to look like!
Also, the parody sea lion show which is on twice a day is a must see, very very funny.
