There is not a dicky bird about us going in for Kaka, not even in the most downmarket of tabloids, yet with the Chelsea rumours and the Real Madrid story it would be the easiest story to write in the world, it would sell papers, it would get noticed.

Yet for some reason nothing, this can only be because we have signed confidentiality agreements with everyone and have threatened to sue the arse off the papers or not allow papers who falesly speculate on this any access to the club in future. If we are not interested then we must be threatening the papers than any mention we have gone for him will be taken up legally and that any mention falsely we are interested would result in zero info on the new vogue team in English football.

After january there is only one reason that we will not be in for him and that is that he has said categorically to us that even for 1m a week and for all the tea in china he would never ever play for us.

This is not to say for one second we will get him, personally I can't believe we will get a player of his calibre till we are top 3 and have been for a year or two. That doesn't mean we aren't going for it though.

Maybe, just maybe. We havent gone back in for him. Then there would be no story, which is why noone is writing about that story, which doesnt exsist.

And again I will repeat myself that we have gone back in and made it very clear that any leak to the press will void our offer!

Will we get him, personally I hope not as we don't need the flak we will get and we can spend the money in a far better way!

Oh snap.

And to be honest i think your right, i dont really want Kaka either, it would be good for our "brand" though no ?

I wont lambaste you with questions Ajay, thanks for the update

If nothing was going on they would be writing the story that is my point, nothing going on is usually the basis for most tabloid stories and trying to humiliate us again would be a perfect tabloid set up!

The fact no one is reporting it means something is happening.

Will we sign him? I doubt it very much, are we trying (I would bet on it)

I agree it would certainly raise our brand to new heights, something the marketing guys would love but agree with previous comments over there being better ways to spend 90m (or whatever we bid).

Also, where would he fit in to a midfield of Robinho, Ireland, Barry and SWP. Add to that rumours of going in for Alonso....

Suppose we may have to get used to the idea of SWP becoming a squad player....

Or maybe the deal was actually signed and sealed in january,so we dont have to make any contact with milan now and then hey presto kaka is holding his city scarf above his head for press photo`s at Coms

How will that work though....they will only tell the press once he's had a medical?

There will be press/photographers on his case all the time and they are bound to find out we are interested?

Nice idea.

Only time will tell.

I doubt we'd go back in for him but we have had 'clear the air' meetings with Milan.

Where would he fit in? Come on mate he`s better than any of the above so i don`t think he would have a problem fitting in really. ;-)

I don't think he would hack it in the PL anyway...he's used to having 10 minutes on the ball...plus in recent games for AC he's not exactly pulled the strings!

Sorry, for a minute there I was thinking you thought the press wouldn't just make stuff up so that when the 1% comes right, they can say 'you heard it here first'.

I really can't see us getting him and am not sure he's right for us at the moment anyway, although you can't pick and choose when you want one of the world's best players, I'm suspicious of why the press are so quiet. There has been no official announcement from the club that we aren't after him and Hughes has reiterated in relation to Tevez that if good players are available, we're interested. So why aren't the papers making stuff up? We could have controlled a few of them with promises of exclusive interviews etc, but not everyone. Surely the Mirror would be making mischief about ruining football if it could?

I think as usual one move is dependant on another, if the Tranny leaves the swamp then sure Kaka willl not go to Real, ManUre may try to bid for Kaka then. I wouldn't be supprised if we've left a deal on the table but Kaka's pop's demands sound ridiculous and if that is what it was like in Jan no wonder it all fell apart. Milan need to sell, Kaka and his daddy want big wads (despite his pleas otherwise). I can see Kaka at Chelsea. Tevez at Manure and the Tranny at Real personally IMO most likely!
