Thinking of immigrating

in the u.k. we spend an awful lot just keeping a roof over, and staying warm.
Health insurance in the u.s. is an absolute must, not cheap.
eastern canada is blistering in summer frigid in winter
Vancouver being on the Pacific does not have the extremes, very livable imo. There are more guns per head of population in Canada than the U.S. but you would never guess.
Australia seems to be at the mercy of China's demand for raw materials, which at the moment is not great, which in turn makes employment harder to find.
South Africa always seems ready to kick-off. Goa you can live for peanuts if you can ignore the poverty. So many places, you could spend your life umming and ahhing and not go anywhere. good luck

Do it ... spent 4 years in LA as a kid, lived in Melbourne in my early 20's, and have been in Paris for 5 years now. In between spent four years back in England and honestly when I look back the least fulfilling time both professionally and personally were the last four years back in England. Felt pretty much as you did, too much crime, scant real interesting job opportunities, and frankly, the the generations below us are getting worse and worse.

For those saying Italy ... as long as the OP's white he'll be fine. Otherwise ... you're better off being poorer in England.
I think having money and being white is a big advantage in most European countries, England is probably the best in that respect

A good cleavage is a bonus too..

i was offered work there running Mexican gardeners by a god bothering hypocrite with a penchant for young women. And the weather was rank. Hot and sticky outdoors and freezing inside the souless air conditioned shops.
Go to California.

Yeah that's what my opinion is as well. I spent a couple of weeks in San Fransisco but not really long enough to make a decision to live there.

I was supposed to move to Brazil but keep putting it off. The plan now is to move in 18 months or so.
