He's a very good player, technically and physically miles better than Dzeko.

Faster, stronger, better touch, better finisher, better at running with the ball. Shall I go on? Dzeko is probably better in the air but you don't see Ade shoe his first touch out of play 5 times a game like Dzeko does! For the record, I like Dzeko, he seems like a lovely guy and I want him to do well, he's just not very good.

Ok, which of the things I've said are not true? If you can say with all seriousness that Dzeko has a better first touch than Adebayor then you are either in love with him or you've not got a clue about football

Fall out with the manager.

He's a good player though and I can't help but be disappointed he could be moving to another English club.

I rate Adebayor and really don't accept the "lazy" tag at all. Ok he doesn't chase around like Tevez but then how many strikers do? It is obviously a personality clash with Mancini, something fairly bad must have happened for Mancini to just completely write off a player of his quality and his goal scoring record. Given what happened at Arsenal where it looked like he was not on good terms with quite a few people when he left, it probably isn't a surprise that this has happened but it is still a great shame imo. Ade and Bellamy both came with dodgy reputations and Mancini has been pretty brutal with both of them.

Adebayor is leaving because we bought Dzeko.
On the pitch Dzeko is basically a white Adebayor, I cant sperate the two players. The difference is Dzeko has a better attitude which could lead to him being better in the future.

mancini style is all about attitude, more than aptitude. clearly players like bellamy, adebayor and may be others dont have the right attitude to take city forward. i have no objection if the manager wants to get rid of them no matter how good they might be.

Adebayor's got a lot of talent, though I'm not sure I accept the idea that he is technically excellent. To me that means having a basic technique that very rarely lets you down, which is certainly not true of Adebayor. Adebayor is a mercurial player who can do outstanding things with the ball, and also very poor things with the ball. Despite having the attributes of a world class target man, he often prefers to roam into the channels and dribble.

Bottom line with Ade is that no matter his individual talent (which is huge, especially for a guy of his size) he has no footballing intelligence. He is a selfish player, not a reliable team player. You can't expect him to do the right thing for the team 10 times out of 10.

Over the course of their careers it's also a highly doubtful statement to say that Ade is the better finisher of the two.

There is no question that Adebayor is a talented player and will score goals wherever he goes. I do think it is interesting however that Real Madrid did not take up the option to buy him after what seemed a successful loan spell. There must be something about him that us fans don't get to see day to day.

Would rather see him sold to a foreign team than loaned to Tottenham where he will score goals. This will be even harder to take as I understand we will be paying a large chunk of his wages.

at the end of the day some good sense

"The city fans never showed me enough love/respect"

See you then Ade you fucking prick. Just remember who looked after you after you nearly lost your life.!

to me he just seemed uninterested after he beat arsenal. he will probably do the same for spurs. play well, try and prove a point against us then continue to infuriate the spurs fans as he becomes a ghost in most games.

He is a world beater on his day. Fell out with Mancini I reckon. Must have. Our loss. No point trying to sus out who's to blame

I know what you mean, but if its a loan deal will he not be banned from playing against us?

You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't know the offside rule then you'll never reach the top.

We can't say the Arsenal fans didn't warn us.

Exactly!! I wasn't a lot happy when we signed Adebayor cos I had watched his prior matches with Arsenal, and the amount of chances he missed was horrendous...more like 10 shots to 1 goal (its another laughable matter that his replacement, Bendtner, is/was even worse)
When he did start scoring for us, I thought maybe I was wrong but now we all know what happened next
He could be lazy, or maybe he's a disruptive influence and wants everything to go his way, acting like a spoiled kid..watever, im glad he's about to go off..just wish we could have sold him off to Real Madrid or even PSG when they came enquiring...

Now, im not an expert in comparing Dzeko to Adebayor, but I feel, from the last two matches, that Dzeko is determined to keep his place on the team, and he's working his arse off..he's actually showing an improvement to last season..in fact, correct me if I'm wrong, I actually saw him tracking back to defend in the match against Swansea, something I never saw happen with Adebayor...
