I think many have problems with this sort of thing because they're so far up their own arses they refuse to have , how they look at it, someone tellin them what to do . Id take drums and a couple of hundred singin together over some of the embarrassing shite we have displayed from time to time-well, basically any game that isn't a crunch game or against another top club . Away support isn't a problem .home support needs work .

I currently live in Prague and go to a lot of matches both here and in Germany where this type of thing happens.
Does it add atmosphere? Undoubtedly. I was in the home end of Slavia V Sparta and the noise was deafening. A month or so agao, I was in the away end of Regensburg v Munich 1860 and the singing was outstanding.
Is it a "real" atmosphere? In the correct context, yes.
Is it right for City? I believe not.
The beauty of the English game compared to European football is the spontanious nature of chants and the banter that exists between fans. There are loads of threads on here at the moment about favourite/best chants, funniest thing ever heard at a ground, songs we will never hear again etc... As soon as singing is being orchestrated with a megaphone and a couple of drums, all this is lost.
