this cannot be serious..........................RE:Ryanair..

i am actually a big fan of ryan air, they are cheap and as long as u read there rules on there site amd follow them you will not get charge extra, i and my family have flown with tem many time at a very low cost. If you get charge for not checking there rules its you own fault. NO1 FORCES U TO GO WITH THEM but i bet alot of u do.

Nijinsky and Sponge. All your solutions would do is make it harder for the flight attendants and make it even more uncomfortable for other passengers, like they're not already having a shit enough flight without people making it worse, I don't blame attendants or even pilots for this situation, it's not their fault the bigwigs are turning people into cattle, They are just like everyone else trying to survive.

roddy - my work forces me to go with them. they are cheaper than most and they do offer better routes than most other airlines operating from my local airport.
i remember one lad from work who didnt have his email confirmation with him so they charged him £40 for another one. 20quid each for the forward and return journey! that 40quid for two sheets of A4 paper and about 10sec worth of labour for the operator to click 'print'!!

Not really,as I omitted to mention that I would then use that smug twat Michael O'Leary's head as a bog brush, prior to flushing him down the pan, along with the other shite.
Either that,or have a colostomy bag fitted and empty the contents in the "complaints" box.

Fair enough, both of those routes are viable.

I agree with this. Read the small print and even though its pretty cramped and the pilots can't land for shit it still does the job. It's easy enough to pack a weeks worth of clothes in a bag big enough for hand luggage and checking in online isn't that hard. Just don't drink shit loads of beer before you fly...

What do you expect for a return flight for the same price as a taxi into town?

Earlier this year, on the back of the news about charging for using the bogs, they actually had a competition to see who could suggest the most ridiculous extra charges. I sent them an email entry which I reproduce as follows:

Hello there,

I have read the publicity surrounding the extra charges, and would submit the following ideas for extra charges.

Visit to flight deck £20. If you wish to have a photo taken on the flight deck, an extra £10. A further £5 if passenger wishes to wear the captain's cap for the photo.

Having a female flight attendant £5. An attractive female flight attendant £10. For gay men passengers, these charges would be transversed. i.e. For a male flight attendant £5 and for a handsome male flight attendant £10.
There could also be a 10% surcharge if a gay female passenger wanted a "Butch" female flight attendant, as the "Butch" female flight attendant wouldn't normally be termed "Attractive", but would be attractive to the gay female passenger, so there should be an extra charge to facilitate this. Bisexual passengers would have to pay both charges. If it was suspected that a gay male or gay female passendger was avoiding such charges, this would be adequately catered for by having a specialist flight attendant with a good "Gaydar".

Sick bags £1. If this charge isn't paid, and passenger vomits on board, they would have to pay the costs of the valet. This will be in the terms and conditions of carriage.

Use of aircraft steps £5 each way. If passenger declined to pay when disembarking, they would have to wait until other passengers have disembarked and then jump out.

For disembarkation, there could be a passenger auction for the right to disembark first.

Window blind unlocking £1. Normally, the window blinds would be closed. If passenger wanted to look out of the window, a charge would be payable to unlock the blind and open it.

Reading lights could have a slot for payment of £1.

I hope these ideas meet with your approval. My contact details are below.

What an idiot he is, and really arrogant 'I don't know anyone who doesn't take a pound on board'!!!

Ahh good old Michael O'Leary .....he is one of the masters of obtaining free publicity.

If people cannot go to the toilet before they fly then they have to pay a pound.....nothing wrong with that.....Ryan air only do short haul from ½ hour flights to 2½ hours....so why should I pay for someone else to have a shit....when they should have gone before they got on the plane.

I have just flew to Dublin for the weekend ...£8 return with NO TAXES (Ryan air pay the tax).....bloody fantastic....and if they make it even cheaper by "stools" then even better.......you get whats you pays for.......if you dont like it then you can always fly British Airways and pay £178 for a Dublin return and I paid £8.....THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

clarkie_ni, tht is how ryan air keep running by high charges for small task. However as you said u use them alot and ur company will saved a lot of money because of ryan air.
