The event im referring to the "suprise" and the release also known as the "launch" is the 18th but orders are available from the 1st.

I dont know this for sure but i just have a feeling that something is gonna happen on this day- but i do also know that a few things will be happening around the stadium. ie open day type event.

Cant see us having an open day on 1st midweek ? everyone at work

Why would we launch the kit on the same day it is being sold? It doesnt make marketing sense. The whole idea of having a kit launch is to generate the interest of the fans to buy the shirt when it comes on sale and then the media to put us in the spotlight. To me it is more beneficial to launch the kit on the 1st (preorder date) so we can generate a real buzz about our unique partnership with Umbro seen as we are the only club in the world to be using their Taylored By designs

I know they are launching the kit on the 1st, I just think the Open Day the poster was on about would be more likely to take place on a Saturday (18th-Release) than a week-day (1st-Launch). Launch and Release mean two different things. Launch - revealed. Release - when it is available to purchase from the shop (exc. pre-orders.)

Alot of people being carried away on here about a gift and 1 July etc. Having spoken to a pal at City I can confirm that there is no plan for a huge 1 July unveiling of a star player coinciding with the website etc etc etc.
