This guy determined we will fail FFPR

So. In laymans terms we've made losses of £149m over two years?
We then offset the allowable loss of £35m against that?
Which makes £114m
Knock off £80m for pre-2010/11 contracts?

That makes £34m a loss?

Which is about 45m euros?

Or is that too simplistic?

-- Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:33 pm --

I don't even feel the need to justify why -£75m is so wrong. In three weeks, a month tops, I will be shown to be right.
Just £23.4m out eh Ed?

If only you could be so smug about your quoting skills...

Top part. My crap understanding of FFFP and whether I have the right end of the stick.

Bottom part, you appear to have quoted yourself when clearly that remark about -£75m was made by Ed Thompson. Your quoting skills are therefore poor and my comment alludes to that.

Better?

Edit: FML, you were quoting yourself! Don't do that! It confuses the shit out of me.

Please feel free to use the smug mode against me.

Indeed, I was quoting myself, I was just making a prediction there that Ed Thompson was way out with his -£75m estimate and he was. I was right that we'd be in the £-40-50m region.

So it's minus £80m wages, plus around £15m per season (£30m total) on infrastructure (had a quick glance through the accounts and couldn't see the infrastructure amount but it's got to be around the same or more than the previous season) plus the UEFA allowance. Basically we are right on the borderline with these figures.

Cool, thanks for that Skash.

and clubs moving toward complicity will be looked upon favourably

Now where is PSG's financial report?

Or a certain club in Trafford's for that matter.

sorry but how do you know it hasn't? brand image is absolutely massive, why else do you think we've overtaken chelski if not for the fact that their players and staff are so bloody unlikable? for all you or I know that turnover figure could have been 10-15% higher without the constant storm of shit we've had to endure from the media over the last 5 years.
that's why I care. tell me something, why don't you?

and for all you know it would not have been.

So in your opinion we have overtaken Chelsea's turnover because nobody likes them ?!

Rather than the fact that we are being run both on and off the pitch impeccably. You really think that. Laughable.

Your just digging a huge hole trying to defend an indefensible stance mate.

Any cretin can understand how important brand image is. Shell, won't even let anyone put the shell logo on a bit of PR for example, they are so protective and controlling about it.

To try to say that it doesn't matter that people libel us in national newspapers, is quite frankly ridiculous.
There are approaching 7bn people. How many of them care or take any notice of what The Sun says about us? Of those people that do, how many of them matter really?

Twitter's great entertainment at the moment, so much bitterness being spouted. Ed's not happy, and still claiming he was correct.

'Ed Thompson ‏@edthompsn 35m I got all manner of grief for saying we could expect £11m RPT in accounts -was £23m RPT'

Fuck Ladyman and this Tommo bloke, know nothing bitters.

Personally I'll be having a beer tonight watching us go top of the league (fingers cossed).

Its much nicer on the inside than looking in through a window with tears in your eyes.
