Totally agree, if we can sign Haaland or someone of his ilk to bury the myriad chances we get every game ..I think you're right there mate.

Stupid Boy !I wonder if Dad’s army was the first TV programme to give the cast catchphrases?
Don‘t Panic!
Lucky? As far as passionate or non-passionate supporters go we hit the jackpot? This is new to me. The first time I have watched and seen a great City team being formed and than coming to its end. What a ten years it's been. I was only around 10 or 11 when the Lee, Bell, Summerbee team came to an end. This time the Club is in such a better position to deal with this.
City signed Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Zabba, Kompany, the backbone of the last 10 years. Sorry if I missed out someone.
Every summer we had the papers saying Sergio is off to who ever, but no he stayed like most and gave the best of their careers to City.
To see the last of that great City team leave is sad and I include Fernandinho in this. These players have helped City become a powerhouse within football. These players have stayed at City despite the British press/media ignoring them for player of the year or in the team of the year. That shows the type of people City employ, not self centred glory hunters, but people who can see what City are about.
These players have helped City attract other top players and build for the future. They have shown what a wonderful well run, caring club City is.
On a personal note I was going thought a shitty divorce, than a few years later meet my soulmate. The first thing I did was make her watch the City v QPR. She doesnt watch football. I said to her to understand me we have to watch this match, to understand what City and Manchester means my family and me. We watched it, I burst into tears as we get the Aguerooooooooo moment. So did she lol.
She got it ! She wrote to City and told them about how life had been shit for the last 3 years for me. Told them me being a proud manc and could City do something for me.
I got a signed Sergio picture :).
And my missus comes to matches now lol.
What a great club.
I never thought I would see one great City team in my life time, but as this one comes to an end this new City team is just beginning with great young talented players . Its something we all dreamed of, my dad saw the Aguerooooooooo but didnt see the Centurion's, my dad didnt like my 93:20 tattoo lol.
But like my late dad I carry on with the thought yet even beening 3 nil up with 2 minutes to go this could all go tits up lol, much to my lads amusement.
This is another of my rambles trying to say how great it is to be a Citizen, what great owners we have. And I feel so privileged and proud that those players choose City to give their best of their careers to us.
We are so lucky.
I’ve seen the back of some shite teams over the years thank fuck!
Totally agree, some reallyThink you have seen the end of a great team before. Tony Books team was fukin brilliant, systematically dissembled by Swales And Allison.
Gary Owen, Peter Barnes, Brian Kidd, Joe Royle, AsaHartford, Dave Watson, Joe Corrigan Denis Tueart to name but a few.
What an absolutely brilliant post... the best of luck to you mate. This is new to me. The first time I have watched and seen a great City team being formed and than coming to its end. If that team of 1976-78 had had Colin Bell available, we'd have won a first division title.Totally agree, some really
cracking players there ,add in Donachie and Tommy Doyle's grandad (think he left for Stoke in about 78.?)
We missed out on the lge by a point in 76/77. Remember finishing 4th following season which was considered a disappointment (finishing 4th would have been considered great in countless seasons after that!).
That team in truth maybe under achieved to a certain extent , as there was so much quality there (though this did indeed have a lot do with being 'systematically dissembled'). It may be a bit hypothetical, but in my opinion that team could very probably have won the league in many different seasons after that (if that makes sense)
What, why do you include "Yaya" + "never had a bad word" + "our club and staff". Please, no matter how good Yaya was, his name doesn't stick with those words!I think this is one of the most powerful factors of our club, that rival fans might disagree or disparage at. Some way somehow, internally we treat our players very well, that most, if not all of them, feel rightly comfortable at the club and committed to the cause. Even Sane, Yaya, Brahim Diaz, etc. never had a bad word to say about our club and staff.

Oof, I knew I had opened a can of worms, such is the case usually when Yaya's mentioned. Well, way I saw it Yaya's problems were on a more personal level with Pep (the racist claims, which certainly I think is entirely untrue). I do think Yaya does love Manchester City FC. Of course, the cake incident left a bad taste in most of our mouths, and mine too, but alot of those stuff came from Seluk. So I meant in general, he hasn't really said anything bad about how we as a club do business, our infrastructure, how we treated our player departures, our fans etc.Be serious.
You included Yaya in the group that "never had a bad word to say about our club and staff". Which is clearly untrue. As for Seluk being responsible for a lot of the nonsense; maybe, maybe not. But Yaya never slapped him down or distanced himself from anything Seluk did/said.Oof, I knew I had opened a can of worms, such is the case usually when Yaya's mentioned. Ah well, fine I'll reword myself. You included Yaya in the group that "never had a bad word to say about our club and staff". Which is clearly untrue.
