This is sickening

This is my local park. The council clear it up once a week, but the rubbish is back again within days. Even the nippers who play football matches over the weekend, they lob their drinks bottles and orange peels by the side of the pitch where their parents are standing, and not one of the fookers picks them up after the match. Like a previous poster alluded to. People have the attitude that it's someone elses problem. That they can be arseholes coz someone is paid to pick it up. Horriific attitude to have and bring you kids up with.

Horrible scumbags!

What is so hard about bringing a bin liner, one fucking bin liner and putting your rubish in and taking it away?!
I am guessing you have never been to a festival.

Move somewhere more salubrious. I would. West Didsbury I can recommend.

Not a fan, but it's not hard to take your trash in one bag is it?

In response to posters referring to rubbish collectors. Yes it may well all get cleared up but it's a shitty attitude leaving something in the hope it's picked up.

A rubbish man walks up and down Oxford street every day, so does that mean I should just throw my rubbish on the floor?

Yes.

Lived in Didsbury for 24 years, horse.

I reckon that Didbury and Fog Lane parks are no different during the summer hols. It's not local scallies that are doing this, either. It's kids that look like one direction. All fringes and skinny jeans. They are drinking fookin latte's in the park and sitting in circles chatting. Everything they eat, drink, read, don't want just ends up on the floor where they were sat. I've found 2 handbags, odd shoes, text books...basically anything they no longer need. It's a generation of pure apathy.

If anyone's seen the film 'Sightseers' that's what should happen to litter louts.

The attitude of many people is 'it's not my job to pick it up' and also that they have a divine right to throw their shit where they like, no matter who it impacts.

I live in a quiet road in a supposedly decent area, but the number of times I find bottles and crisp packets in the front garden is amazing. When I was a kid I lived in Gorton - according to a recent documentary one of the worst areas in Manchester at the time - and it was as tidy as a German city centre. If you dropped something, nine times out of ten some adult would bollock you. But we rarely did, as we were taught to take our shit home with us.

The answer is enforcement. £250 fine every time and it would soon stop.
