I have to confess I was strting to have doubts after Saturday but when you look at the table then it really isn't that bad. Yet.

All clubs have a bad spell at some point. Let's hope this is ours but it's over and we can push on.

We're a long way from a crisis.

We have the players to be in the top 4, and I don't accept the top 3 are a given, either.

We've just got to get it right and get the right players and formation out there.

If your players are not good enough, then you've a problem. That's the hardest bit and the bit I think we've got right.

There's a lot of panic and paranoia around because, well we're City, and also, we are going to look a bit silly if we fail.

Things will be clearer by Christmas and the time to really judge is season end.

I've still got faith.

Good post, there is a lot of inconsistancy around this year, we and spuds set off like trains, but have stalled a little recently. Liverpool, slow, slow, stopped, Arsenal looking very lethal all of a sudden and both Chelski and Scum stuttering at the moment.
All in all we all know when we hit any sort of form we can blow anyone away, just a bit dissappointing we have hit a road block temperarily it seems.
If we get back to winning ways at Anfield that could just be enough to doom Liverpool to next years Europa league.
Don't believe either Spuds or Villa have enough to push on all season so we must have a chance and the only people to stop us is ourselves.

I must admit I am usually a bit of a doom and gloomer at times, but I still don't want you optimists to set up your separate forum though!

I'm with Prestwich Blue, when you look at the table and see we're in 6th (which would be 4th if we win the game in hand) you feel stupid for feeling negative.

We're saying that being in the top 4/6 at this stage of the season is a 'bad spell'........I think we've had worse spells than this before!! Long may this one last

Agreed. A positive thread. We've played 14 games with a team assembled in a short space of time. We've lost ONE game. The draws have took the gloss of a bit, admittedly. It's a tremendous start - in anyone's book, all things considered.

Spot on there. Agree with everything you, and indeed the OP, say. This place is becoming ridiculous after amy less than convincing performance. There are some who are posting on here that should take a long hard look at themselves. Alright, we're not pulling up any trees ATM, but if they think this is bad, the 90's must have passed them by.
