This self loathing attitude for some regarding England

i hate the england international team, i hate gerrard, i hate rooney, i hate terry, i hate chelsea i hate united, i hate liverpool

the thought of standing next too some red willing rooney to score makes me sick
the though of clebrating a 40 yard screamer by gerrard with some scruffy bin dipper also makes me ill
and the thought of singing the national anthem with terry as my leader is quite simply horrific.

patriotism has nothing to do with football

Just a quick question, if Gerrard came to city would you still hate him ?

There were probably plenty of people who hated Bellamy before he signed for us.

definatly not, thats not going to happen though is it. when england play and city players are playing i always want them to do well, but at the same time hope the rooneys, terrys, owens, lampards play badly. i guess being too involved in city has resulted in me hating everything that isn't city, probably being ridiculously bitter, but cheer players that are the heart and soul of our biggest rivals, with a load of sjoke, west ham and birmingham fans ... never.

Agree with OP. Why is it in America, Australia, and many other countries you see their flag everywhere while here you rarely see it, I think I see more Pakistani flags out in Manchester than St. George's (or Union Jacks). Do we need another f*cking World War to make people proud?

COME ON ENGLAND!
If you fly the St George you get classed as a Racist .

one of the problems is the fact that a lot of pople that do fly/use the flag are actually racist. bnp for example use the union jack in their logo which has given the union jack a bit of a bad reputation.

I always support england, it's always knob head rags who I find go on how there to cool to support england, gives me even more reason to support them

Trying to pretend football has anything to do with patriotism is a bit sad imho.

You wanna show you patriorism?

Join the army and go fight the taliban mate.

So you cant be patriotic unless you join the army?
You're on a wind-up surely?

Supporting your national team has everything to do with being patriotic if you are a football fan.
