Why is Maxi given only a yellow card for a two-footed challenge??
I thought all referees were instructed by the FA to give a straight red for such challenges..

I am right in thinking I read an article today in which Mike Riley said ANY two-footed challenge is a straight red... it doesn't matter if they go near the player/win the ball/don't win the ball... it was meant to be a straight red.

And then I have just seen Maxi do a two-footed challenge on a Utd player, and didn't get anything. Just shown the replay again, I expect a media witch-hunt with 10 slow-mo replays until the FA come out with a 3 game ban as Halsey didn't see it but if he did he would have sent him off?

Or not as he's a player for the top 4?!? Hmmm......
