Not in comparison to another game, but given there had be little to no fouls and no yellow cards up to that point it's harsh to send somebody off for being a split second late.

The ref should do all he can to ensure the game remains 11v11. I know I'd be annoyed if Aguero or Tevez were sent off for a similar tackle this afternoon. Had he gone into that challenge to do him then fair enough, but it was just late and clumsy rather than malicious, IMO.

It was a deserved red card and if any our our mob did something similar after going 1 up at any of the difficult away matches, I'd be fucking fuming with them (Balo at the Emirates last season springs to mind). And you are seriously saying that because there had been very few fouls and no cards prior to the tackle, that the ref should have just given him a warning. It was a reckless, stupid tackle. Red card, what ever time of the game it happens.
