Wonder if all the Chelsea fans are moaning about mourinho.
I'm not. We played decently, cutting them open repeatedly in the first half and remained in control. Our finishing was just not there today, nothing was coming off. Then we conceded a really cheap goal at half time and dominated a team playing possession football at their own ground when we went all in. On another day we'd have won.

But we didn't take our chances and Everton did, they also defended magnificently and deserve every point. It's just a shame that you and United got quite lucky today and nothing came off for us! Hopefully they'll take points off the rest of you later on.
I watched the game and agree with you.

But you have to be concerned with your finishing. Not a good game from Eto'o, or Torres. But Eto'o still looked quick. Perhaps not as quick as he was

I thought Gaz Baz was very lucky not to get booked. Repeated late fouls.

You can say City were lucky, but we had an entire first choice back 4 out, and Hart made those saves. It's not luck when a keeper makes a good save, its good goal-keeping

Re: This weekends other games

I honestly think Lukaku would have buried two of the chances Eto'o had. Especially the header very early on.

Re: This weekends other games

the chelsea result lessened the below

but it is really something that us and the rags have the same points after 4 games....and you look at the fixtures both of us had .

its worrying , liverpool away and chelsea home...yet to come

Hart was good for you today but you got very lucky on several occasions. Like when Stoke crossed the ball right across your goal mouth requiring any touch to knock it in, or that save which ricocheted around a few players in the box before skimming wide. With your disrupted defence, a bit of luck could have undone you a few times.

I'm not too concerned because we created a lot of chances and defended well (aside from that utter concentration lapse at half time). Sometimes you just get games like this where nothing you try seems to work. Barcelona have had a few of them against us. I think we'll win against Basel and Fulham and things will be back on track. Manchester Derby next week so we can reopen the gap already.

Was that not Barry who saved Everton from going one nil down. He was good for them today, Baines must be laughing his cock off.

Lukaku wouldn't have gotten into those positions in the first place.

My point is that a lot of city fans are already getting on pellegrini's back and we are on the same points as united and Chelsea, same games played with a better goal difference. All three teams will be are trying to find their feet at this point. Plus we have a number of key players out.

I think Nasty and Zab are at least on a par with Lescott and Clichy Marvin and pretty sure MP sees it the same way too.

What concerns me is the age and lack of premiership experience most of recent signings have in the main.

Those that do like Zab , Clichy, Nasri etc are past their best and players like Baines offer far more in their role than Clichy does.

Micah is too injury prone.

We rely heavily on VK , Silva , Yaya having great games or in Ya Ya's case doing something special for us to win and win well.

The rest lack either the drive , skill , ability or just plain know how to ensure we get over the line in games that they should either win or be more competitive in.

Today was just simply shocking.

Rodwell is not ready to step up to the plate on a permanent basis unfortunately and may never be.

The more I look at it the more frailties I see in this squad.

I hope I am wrong but I think results wise we will go backwards from last season especially in the league this year and it probably will have little to do with MP and what he does or doesn't do.

Top four is going to be a hard task.

We are bound to get more injuries hopefully very few if any long term.

Very unfair

Rodwell needs to come into a settled team - just like any other player

-- Sat Sep 14, 2013 9:13 pm --

I wouldn't dismiss your striking issues

We all know Torres is not up to it. So is Eto'o going to be the answer?

City are playing as poorly as I can remember, but there are reasons for that and at least we are still in touch. We have to hope that we have had our bad patch. We've certainly had a difficult time with injuries with a lot of injuries being concentrated in one area which is very disruptive and would challenge any squad

Re: This weekends other games

more than anyone over the last couple of seasons barry stopped teams playing against us mainly through brilliant positional sense

seems our back four can be got at so much easier and some crackheads still dont rate him - they only ever see the ball
