It was a dive. Replays clearly showed there was no contact and that Welbeck contorted his body to fall as soon as he felt the hand.

He had his hand on his shoulder but there was no contact on the legs. I still see clear, intentional contortion on Welbeck's part as soon as he feels the hand. Perhaps that attempted pull was enough, but there was certainly not contact on his legs after viewing all the angles.

Looked to me like Welbeck just completely fluffed his lines and kicked the ground, before falling to the ground like a spaz. Complete dive. Question has to be asked though, if it is a foul, why was there no red card? Unless referees have finally decided that Welbeck being clear through doesn't represent a clear goalscoing opportunity? (If so, then fair enough tbh)
