He generally keeps clubs up. That is the limit of their ambitions. The likes of Stoke and West Brom don't really have ideas above their station, they just want to be in the cash cow that is the PL. And, with Pulis, they know they have a reasonable chance of surviving. I would have said the same thing about BFS, but I think even he might have his work cut out keeping the Mackems up.
