I'd be careful with that logic. Spurs created two tremendous chances at end of 1st half (Eriksen with a ridiculous long pass forward and then Kane with a lobbed through ball as well) which easily could have been goals. Stoke were very good and Ireland was unreal for about 15 minutes there. I think Shaqiri will really make them a not fun team to play against,he's going to create space for Arnautovic. Who seems like a good player but he always wants to take a man on, sometimes to a fault. A simple pass and move would benefit him more, like the chance in the 2nd half where he flashed across goal.
Spurs chances were not as clear cut as diouf's two. One a header from 3 yards out, the second was pretty much the same.
