Big win for Cit. It's cliche, but it is true 'those are the sort of games that win titles.'
The ref had an awful game, but a big part of that was he made a controversial decision and was trying to even things out. For me the goal should have stood. By the letter of the law they were offside and could even be argued to be interfering, but that would be a stretch and there was no way Hart was saving that. After that Cabaye and Sissoko should have been sent off. Hopefuly Nasri's injury is not too bad. It did look really bad and in a world cup year when he had regained his form.
This match is why I favour the Heynckes or Mourinho appreach to football over the Pellegrini. Kompany apart from one mistake had a great game, but City still struggled defensively. Yesterday Chelsea's centre backs had poor games and they were untroubled defensively. People can argue about the formation, but it's the lack of work from too many players. At the end there is more than one way to skin a cat and outscoring teams is more exciting for the neutral than winning 2-0 every game.
