Good away win to start the season with (our first since 2005).

Plenty of positives, especially from the four new players making their Premier League debuts.

If Spurs had won 3-0, no-one would have begrudged it.
You're talking up what was a quite disappointing performance. A great 3 points though

Souness comparing Chelsea's first 45 minutes to when Barca were at their best in 2009/10

Haha not that good yet. Pundits seem to be going OTT but it's clear we've got a gear or two go reach yet. Since Hull were dispatched quite easily and early we've dropped the tempo and just controlled the game.

Fine, then lets get on with it. We're all friends here.

What'd you think of De Bruyne this first half?

Plays behind main striker or on the left.

I think Jovetic will play mostly in a left attacking midfielder/centre forward role, which will suit our play when Silva is marauding.

Indeed bud ;)

De Bruyne very impressive imo. Direct, quick witted, shoots on sight, very good touch. Looks a very good player so far.

I agree. Chelsea have an embarrassment of riches with their attacking midfielders/wingers. They may have an issue up front, though--I still think pundits are overestimating Lukaku, Ba, and Torres (as much as it pains me to say that as I would love to see Fernando back to his best for Spain).

That said. I am hoping to see similar play from Navas this season (although with Negredo and Dzeko I think Jesus will be able to be even more direct).

Too soon to evaluate this Chelsea team. Hull aren't exactly a top side. We will have to see how the imbalance in the Chelsea squad will affect their season

Good opening 30 minutes, but they don't seem to much different from last season. They've just got a lot more depth.

Looking at the team sheets at kick off I would have expected at least a 4 goal Chelsea performance. So whilst its easy for everyone to cream their pants over the Chavs take into account the opposition.
And just like Swansea yesterday, they`ve gone out and spent big money on players they`ve left on the bench? Smacks of lack of belief and giving up and being preselective on the games they will target for points.
