If Dembele could inject some directness or a will to actually do something important into his game then he could be a real player. He's got exceptional touch and strength, I can't help but feel he could dribble past the whole team if he really wanted to, but instead he always seems to go backwards

He plays similar to how Nasri used to , all the talent but no end product, always taking the easy option when he can do so much more.

We have seen Nasri showing his true potential recently and maybe Dembele can do the same? He is one of the best dribbling CMs I have seen but like you say is not direct and rarely has any impact on a game, seems to make the wrong choice all the time.

He really shows some flashes of quality every now and again. Had great matches against Chavs and Blue Dippers if I remember correctly.

The rags should catch Spuds they're shite in attack.

Over to the Fighting Cock, where a thread starts thusly:

How long is this glorified PE teacher going to play real-life FM with a 250m squad?

Our player of the season and most creative player benched and didn't even come on as a sub? While that overhyped circle-jerk nothing kid poor-man Jenas starts every game irrespecive? Jog on. Is he doing it to spite us?

Now that the honeymoon is over - it would only get worse with team-selection like this. Dumped out of two cups, smashed by City and only a few lucky wins against relegation fodder thanks to Ade. No gut - no fight - players couldn't be arsed. We need to do damage limitation on this poisonous cretin now!

We need an actual manager, pronto - this was embarassing

Why won't the big teams beat all the small teams? Did not watch, but the Norwich players seem to really like Hughton; every time he is close to getting fired they dig in and get a result for him. I like Hughton, but for obvious reasons would rather they lost today.

You should know better than to rely on Spurs.

Dembele is nothing like nasri in style or quality.

-- Sun Feb 23, 2014 7:20 pm --

Norwich were fucking decent today.

Miles better than the likes of palace and stoke.

Van Wolfswinkel is awful. What makes it worse is that he is lacking in confidence too. A terrible combination.

Watching Norwich reminds me us under Pearce (his only full season as manager).
He had two full seasons in charge.

I'm guessing you mean his second season.

Strictly speaking his third season but second full season in charge. I always think of him as being in charge for only one and a bit seasons after taking over from KK for the last 10 games or so.

Yes, definitely his last season.

-- Sun Feb 23, 2014 7:27 pm --

More reason to like Sherwood.

This is only good for us. Opens the gap between us and 5th to 7 points with a game in hand. Only makes us more spot on for CL. I know its kind of stupid to be thinking about only the top 4 but good to always have a gap. Plus it doesn't really matter with the Rags they have a 11 point gap to cover to Pool which means Pool have to lose 4/11 games and Rags have to win all, which is a very very impossible task.
