In addition to some bad signings, Benitez bought some quality though like Torres, Alonso, and Mascherano. For a while Liverpool looked very close to being champions before Rafa lost his mind. I'd have Rafa before Dogleash, with the quality in the Spanish league now he'd get them loads of good players.
