Abomination of a man..
We'll have to agree to differ then. I thought it was a dive. Not appealing doesn't suddenly make the dive disappear. Also, as I said before, he has a reputation now which is down to no-one else but him. In a perfect world, what happened x months ago shouldn't be in the mind of a ref. But it will be, and they'll be watching him like a hawk. And if Wellbeck continues his tricks, he'll have the same reputation. And then both players may well end up not getting justified decisions.Stillsy said:jimharri said:Ungentlemanly conduct, I'd imagine. I think he realised that the dive was so blatant that he couldn't possibly appeal for a penalty. Perhaps if he didn't dive in the first place? Also, his reputuation doesn't help him.Stillsy said:how can you book someone for diving when they dont appeal?

where do you draw the line pal?
loads of players jump out of the way to avoid taking a knock do they deserve booking?
never ever was that a booking as he just rolled up his socks and never even asked...

I listened to today's match on Absolute Radio. Commentator and summariser (think it was David Fairclough) said it was a blatant dive and a disgraceful decision to award a pen.MSP said:welbeck diving against ukraine, diving today...
He still dived. Ungentlemanly conduct.Stillsy said:jimharri said:We'll have to agree to differ then. I thought it was a dive. Not appealing doesn't suddenly make the dive disappear. yeah but if he isnt asking for the decision then he isnt cheating.

I had hoped Fergie would've clamped down on this, after his comments towards the end of last season
"Sir Alex Ferguson speaks to Man Utd's Ashley Young about diving 20 April 12 10:42
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says he has spoken to Ashley Young after allegations of diving were levelled at the winger"
but obviously not Rooney even "won" a penalty by diving in a pre-season friendly ffs..
Needs to be stopped, and soon. Nobody likes cheating and no referee likes being made to look a mug. Apart from the damage diving causes to a players, and a clubs, reputation eventually I'm sure it will come back to bite them on the arse....

just seen the slowmo replay, there was blatant contact and nope you just dont like suarez, its not ungentlemanly conduct if he doesnt try to cheat.
