If Southampton beat Arsenal this afternoon - should they be considered seriously challengers for the top 4 or is it too early to say that?
If they can top 4 till January and bring 2 or 3 very good players in then yes, I think they need to because otherwise their youngsters will be poached.
I'm looking forward to this one. We'll see today how far Southampton have come in a year. They got trounced 6 - 1 in the corresponding fixture last season.
Pochetino said this week that they won't be signing any players in January. He was pretty definitive. Be interesting to see how Southmapton as a club react if they start getting offers for their better players.
