This weekend's Premier League games

I maybe biased but I thought Utd were far from convincing despite going 2 up

What luck to play Newcastle without their centre-backs and keeper.

They were very convincing in going two up. After that they looked happier to drop back and let Newcastle knock it about a bit, who still despite then being allowed to do that for a lot of the game, created very few good chances. The mishit cross at the end added polish but Newcastle deserved nothing from this game.

Their strength in depth is pretty scary, Newcastle is always one of the toughest places to go and they won quite easily 3-0.

I think they have better squad than us.

They do, we have in general a better first 14 or 15 players but they have more strength in depth. I'm not sure we'd have survived the sort of injuries they have had in defence but they always seem to have one more decent player to call upon there. And we get slaughtered by the media whenever Mancini dares suggest he needs more top players.

Also we beat a better Newcastle team 2-0 there and weren't fortunate enough if I remember correctly to be up against their backup keeper and backup central defenders. Just like last year against Arsenal, United get a potentially tricky game at the perfect time for them... incredible fortune.

Wow!....scums defence is worldclass,
Hope they're not like that all season or
They will romp the league !!

Nah... Only kidding folks, on a better day
The barcodes could of scored six.
If you don't hit the target against the scum,
You don't deserve fuck all. :(

WTF

Fergie basically admitted he doesn't know the rules. He'd be disappointed if that goal wasn't given for them, because "enough of the ball was over the line"
Didn't he say something like "I know the whole of the ball has to cross the line but I'd be disappointed if that goal wasn't given for us, as enough of the ball was over the line....."

Quite a contradictory statement but think he meant he'd have given the goal....actually pretty fair minded by his standards.

He'd have said fuck all like that if it would have been a winning goal for Newcastle.
