Mata is such a good player. I'm going to stick my neck out but at the moment, I would prefer him to Silva.

He has more space than Silva as the likes of Hazard and Oscar need to be watched like hawks. City in all honesty don't have that.

The difference between the two is that Mata is a genuine goal threat whilst Silva isn't. That is what separates them. Mata and Silva playing together at City would be great. Mata is so much better than Nasri.

Mata's turning into what Silva should be.

What a fucking weird comment. Silva is a better player than Mata.

Not for the last 9 months he hasn't been, and at least Mata can stick it in the net when presented with opportunities and shoots.

Silva needs to show his mettle because at the moment he's not the best attacking midfielder bought from Valencia in the league.

No reason why we can't expect Silva to tear this league a new one with his talent, unfortunately he hasn't been showing it.

those saying mata is a better player than silva are completely clueless and must stop watching football. mata is a very good player silva is a magician he can create something out of nothing. that's why silva is the only player out of barca and real madrid players to start every game for spain. but of course u know better than del bosque.

No, they aren't clueless, they hust have a different opinion. They are both high quality players, 45% will choose Mata, 54% will choose Silva and United fans would choose Cleverley.

He isn't.

That's why Del Bosque chooses Silva over Mata for Spain.

Silva offers more than Mata, he is an out and out creative player, Mata is a number ten or a false nine, he will throw a few creative bursts in but overall he is a sort of second striker.

Mata is a better finisher than silva, silva a miles better player though! Wish we could have signed hazard though, what a pass for the third goal

Silva's a better player than Mata but needs to get back to the consistent level of performances from this time last year.

Exactly. Silva is better than Mata but over the last year, he hasn't been. Mata is a goal threat that Silva isn't. That part of Silva's game is missing and is preventing him from being classed in the league of Messi and Ronaldo.

I agree,Mata is far better than Nasri. Silva seems afraid to shoot at times and always looks for another option, maybe needs a more selfish streak. Silva would be amazing if he had Mata and Hazard in the team.

Vertongen
Gallas
Sigurdson
Dempsey
Sandro

Have all been terrible. Vertongen and Gallas may as well have Chelsea kits on!
