This Weeks other PL Fixtures Week 8 3-4 Oct 15

We all know that Arsenal fold against the rags. They can pass the ball around all day against lower-placed teams (not necessarily having a shot on goal), but when facing THEM they seem to come over all shy and overawed, like a naive young girl when introduced to George Clooney. Call it an inferiority complex if you will.

We know that whatever the balance of play, the rags will come up smelling of roses. I expect an Arsenal player to be sent off, Utd to get a penalty, Wenger to go off on a massive strop. And the new Eusebio will probably scuff one in. Oh, and an Arsenal goal to be disallowed, while an offside goal from Utd will be allowed. My Sunday will be spoiled. of that I have no doubt. I'm not a pessimist, just a realist, but I nurture the faintest of hopes that I may be wrong.

Tomorrow's headlines will loudly pronounce the new (?) league leaders. The scorer of Utd's winner will have his photo plastered all over the sports pages - I just hope it isn't Wazzer, just the sight of his ugly mug literally puts me off my muesli.

Still, we've got WR's documentary to look forward to on Monday night. What a pity I'm out. I wouldn't have missed it for the world................

The word "hagiography" springs to mind. I'd like to ask Rooney if he thought the programme was hagiographic. I don't know what he'd say.

Roll on the derby match.

On the obvious front, I second your comments wholeheartedly. Looking at the wider picture though (sensible hat alert!), Id prefer a draw today. Don't want either of them getting full points.
Oh but that is sensible though. A crushingly dull no score draw would be nice as well.

He's slowly dragging that club straight down the gutter.
I'd suggest Terry dragged them there, Mourinho is just ensuring they don't dig their way out.
