Sorry if already discussed elaswhere (did search, but couldn't find anything). After eagelry awaiting her 10.1% state pension increase, Mrs MSB got just 8%, even though she is way below the threshold to pay any tax

Has anyone else noticed similar?

New financial year started on 6th April and my increased state pension rate started the Monday after that, so I only got part of the 4 weeks at the increased rate .
My next payment is due 2 weeks this Friday, and I am 100% sure I will get the full 4 weeks at the increased rate (+10.1%).

My pension went up 10.1 % from 10th April so won't see full amount until end of May

Keep voting for the tories. You'll get nothing and you'll pay fees and interest on it.
They've just given us 10.1% increase,so I don't think anyone receiving state pension can complain this year.
And if they stick to the triple lock next year, it will go up again by at least 5% (earnings are going up to try and keep pace with inflation).
It'll be interesting to see if either party decides to knock the triple lock on the head.
I can't see either of them doing that,it would be a huge vote loser and I don't think they would want to lose all those FOC votes.

Off subject, but UK State Pension is a fraction of minimum wage and one of the worst in Europe. Cannot see any Government increasing pensions to match MW

Then you’re disagreeing incorrectly. You’ve just argued my exact point. Of course it’s political. The blue rinse brigade overwhelmingly vote Tory.
*whispers quietly because @SWP's back didn't mention names and I'm not exactly a blue rinse person, I let my hair go natural years ago* ;-)

I didn't vote Tory and I have part delayed a break I have to take because I will have no bathroom, so that I can vote in the Local Elections on Thursday. (even though I've no idea whose standing because they don't bother leafleting anyone in my area of Eccles due to complacency!!)

I go online and check to see who is standing.

My take on the pensions increase is that I never take it into account whichever party deigns to give us a rise. I paid PAYE all my working life (a full stamp not the married women's one) so I feel that I am entitled to the rise. I receive no other benefits and, apart from Family allowance as it was then called for the three younger children, never have.
So I am sorry I've paid my dues. :-)

And because I paid into the Teacher's Pension, which was compulsory, I am slightly over the limit for any other benefits. Not that I want them apart from a Blue Badge which costs very little. The people who don't have an extra pension need it more than me.

So I vote for other issues not pensions rises. :-)
