To be fair to thogden he's built up his brand from the early days (his dad used to take him when he was just starting out doing his bolton videos) and it's clearly working for him. My 15 year old lad has watched him for years and his videos he does when he goes to foreign derbies are actually pretty decent . He's making a packet getting to travel the world watching football. Fair fucks to him and tbh think he's listened to the criticism about being in away ends as you don't see him do it anymore

It's like that Forest fan setting up the rag youtube channel. He realised there was more money becoming a rag than doing it on a Forest platform.

I quite like him and his videos.

He focussed on fan culture which appeals to me.

The thing with these YouTubers is they bin off going to live football ever again for the sake of having a watch along from their bedrooms. WTF? Surely they can go to the match and then post interviews with fans like Cheesy does or just go to the match like MCFC Lads does. Chelsea away a few weeks ago seemed better than previous years but there were still a group of half a dozen middle aged Americans in front of me, only one of whom was apparently even a football fan with a passing familiarity with the sport, let alone a blue. They were just ticking off a big ‘soccer’ game as a must-see tourist experience in London, same as going to a West End show

It’s a popular excursion for wealthy Yanks, my neighbour’s son likes ‘soccer’ so his dad got tickets for Arsenal v United then Palace v Newcastle the next day. Almost 800 quid on tickets plus flights and hotels.
