Thoughts on the Cup Final

some months ago i posted on Bluemoon how grown adults shouldn't cry over a game of football, i wasn't trying to act tough or macho ,i just stated that there's more important things in life to get upset about, ie the passing of a loved one etc.....we've had more heartache than most teams and ive attended most of them Halifax in the fa cup, luton at maine rd, Stoke away etc etc . but it didnt drive me to tears .so after 'forcing ' all this legacy of heartbreak on my son ( who's 23 now ) imagine my shock when the final whistle blew at Wembley, i looked over and saw the un-restrained joy on his face , the floodgates opened and i cried like a baby ...............so what ever happens in the future , i cried at a football match.......and im proud of it..............!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to hear blues, i guess it's just one of those things. You don't see it coming but it just does, i'm welling up just thinking about that feeling at the final!

My memory of watching at home wishing i could have been there. Still fuming about the 2 so called City fans who wouldn`t drop there asking price below £250 to a fellow Blue for a ticket. This after pm.ing through this site. Both selling for there mates! lying twats as well as scum.

It's wierd but it STILL hasnt sunk in for me yet. I have no idea why but I haven't yet realised we, man city, have won the FA cup. I can't wait till it does though, might be because I haven't seen the players in flesh since the final.

Some wonderful stories on here of the day. I cried like a baby at the end of the semi final and for some strange reason was not as emotional at the end of the final. My wife passed away in January of last year and it was through her that I got a season ticket again as she got me one as an anniversary gift. I wore her wedding ring to both games and I know that she was watching and smiling as Yaya slammed the ball in, rip Bren and thanks xx

She wont have been on her own Gazzer ;o)
