Dembele is not an upgrade on Yaya or Silva? And with a subs bench that already includes Barry 12 million, NDJ 18 million, Milner 24+8 million and Rodwell 12 million...why would we bother when a center back is the position we need cover for?

He is another alternative to Yaya and Silva.
Yaya also goes away in January again, and we weren't the same without him, and Silva seemed to suffer from burn out towards the end of the season, he was also carrying knocks but having to carry on playing.
Barry, NDJ are different players entirely!
Dembele would be shrewd, sensible signing.

Dembele can play up top and we are quite capable of only playing with one up front, plus of course Sergio is only out for a few weeks.
