i've kind of given up hope of us signing someone world class this transfer window, sinclair (if he comes) and rodwell are good prospects and all, but they are not the kind of players to take us far in the cl, which obviously is the next step.

if we can sign a decent central defender (NOT a prospect for the future, or a semi-cheap buy gamble, but someone who is good right now) i think we need to settle for this, and see how it works out. no need to panic, our squad is still very capable of getting trophys. we have not regressed, we just havent extended our lead.

Tevez and Dzeko up front. That's a new one.

I like Dzeko too and would love it if he gave Mancini no choice but to keep him. He also makes important contributions defensively, which we can't say about any of our other strikers.

We are away from home against a decent (on paper at least) Jokepool

Can only see a 4 2 3 1 will Tevez up top a Yaya / DJ midfield two with a Milner / Silva / Nasri three

Keep it tight compress and win the midfield and take it from there and maybe bring on Mario / Dzeko as the games progresses
