Heavens calamity!

Some people have short memories, in recent memory i nominate (in no particular order)

1. blowing virtually our entire budget on Gorgeous Giorgios Samaras
2. Signing bloody Benjani
3. Spending almost £60m on RSC, Adebayor & Kolo Toure (we did get Lescott & Tevez though)
4. Spending almost £115m on Robinho, Jo, Tal Ben Haim, Bellamy & Bridge (but we also got VK, Zabba, NDJ & Given)

You forgot the year we acquired Danny Mills and Ben Thatcher! That was a good one.

Mancini said it is impossible to sell AJ before we bought someone. Well seems like we still didnt finalize Sinclair's signing so we are desperate to buy him now as a wide option for the bench.

And another two players apart form Sinclair? That would be good and if they could improve the team lot more than Sinclair and Rodwell that would be fantastic.

Defender and some creative midfielder who likes to play deeper. These are the positions I would make some signings.
I'm OK with the 4 strikers we have. Selling Dzeko would be a huge loss no team will pay 20m for him. Anyone instead of him wold cost 20-35m and wont want to sit on the bench just like Edin.

Because if we'd bought Sinclair first, Sunderland (and whoever else we were taking to) would have forced Johnson's price down knowing we were desperate to sell, or worse we wouldn't be able to get rid of yet another player who was surplus to requirements.

I think we will still get Sinclair for a fair price. The longer it goes towards the end of the window, Swansea will be more keen to offload. They've just broken their own transfer record so will be desperate to recoup some outlay, especially now the player seems to be keen on the move and wasn't selected yesterday because his mind wasn't right.

A bit of patience needed until the end of the month, as for the other 2 possible signings, who knows?

We've been spoilt with transfers over the last few seasons but we just need a tweak here and there and no wholesale changes (afterall we are the Champions, so let everyone else worry) and also the new FFP rules have no doubt had an effect too. I am happy with the way the club are dealing with things and in Mancini I trust!

you may be happy about the way the club are dealing with things but I'm not sure Mancini is,really do feel if we don't do some good business this week bobby is gonna be extremely pissed off.
After yesterday's performance I wonder if he would consider dembele he looked the business yesterday,I know sometimes one performance can be deceiving but for me he is a top player who would be even better under bobby's guidance.

So the fact that our strongest starting XI, plus about three or four players just outside that, didn't need strengthening at all...and we only really need squad players and have started bringing them in - therefore almost addressing exactly the things we needed to (apart from centre half cover, I await who we get as we need someone here!)...plus we've sold a few of those we needed to get out of the club at any cost...and you think that's disastrous?

Personally I take everything with a pinch of salt but the Transfer Forum is worse off without Tolmie. Is there no way of banning people from threads? People who want to read what Tolmie or anyone else has to say can then do so, and the people who constantly fill the thread with their "opinions" can be kept out of it.
Would be a shame for it to get to that point but for an example take Andouble on this thread. he clearly doesn't think Bombo's information is up to much and he said so.... 15 fucking times. Would be so much easier to give him a helping hand by stopping him from being able to access the thread. That way he wouldn't be getting himself all worked up and he wouldn't be boring the rest of us by shoving his "opinion" down our throats every 6 posts.
