Madrid are a team who never know why they have lost and City hit the bar 4 times, Courtious made 10 miraculous saves, 5 were cleared off the line (including one by the linesman) being just part of City's 38 shots nevermind the 3 obvious penalty claims overturned including a great top corner tip over the bar with his fingertips from Toni Kroos amazingly missed by VAR
Madrid bid their time before leaving their half for the first time in the 92nd minute where a speculative cross went straight in, only to be immediately followed by the referee tackling Ederson 60 seconds later and slotting in a well-deserved winner. Despite these being the only two times they left their half, yet again they showed why they deserve to win, never let it be said they are the luckiest scrotiest team in history - just like last year, they planned for all these near misses by City as only the kings of Europe can do
