Ticket delivery problem

I've registered my mate to man city in order to get him a ticket for the birmingham game, bow he has never bought from city, or been to game, however when it says that he will be given an access card with purchase, Is that right or does the site just think he already has one, now he doesn't and his card/ticket hasn't arrived. It has struck me as the site thinking he already has a card and they have put the ticket on it, but he doesn't have one. I bought these on Tuesday and he hasn't had anything through the post, but I know mine has been put on my card. It could just be the case that it takes longer for an accesscard to be delivered.could I be right?

Any help would be great
 
I got an access card and a ticket for one of my sons earlier in the season. First I got the receipt slip for the ticket and then a couple of days later I got the access card separately. Maybe worth giving them a ring just to check though.

Cheers mate, how soon after your purhase did you get the receipt slip?
 
Sorry mate I can't remember as it was a few months back. I think it was a few days after, certainly not like next day or one after but also didn't feel like I was waiting and worried about it. I just remember being a bit concerend when the access card didn't come with it. Was going to ring up but hung on and sure it was only 2 days after the card came.
