Been thinking of the future as I am 74 next mouth and sometimes the 530 mile round trip for every game seems to get longer, had my first season ticket in 1964 (the year of the 8000 att) so maybe the time is coming to just do 8 or 9 games a season and looking at the ticket exchange some very good seats are posted so do I give up my old git season card in 204 at £440 this season or get a citizen card and go on the exchange site? Like to ask if tickets are only put on sale 7 days before a game unless the game is sold out then when games such as Arsenal are shown as sold out will any tickets that are put on the exchange in the 2 to 3 weeks before a game be put on sale strait away or be left to reopen the site 7 days prior to the game.
Hope this is not to much of a ramble just looking for info from any Bluemoon ITN.

What I would suggest is that you chat to the people around you, you must have made friends.
See if you could leave your ticket with one of them, let them know when your coming up and see if they can sell it to one of their mates for the games
you don't.
You might not recover all your outlay but you shouldn't be far off.

Stuck mine on the exchange for the Everton game, saw city tweeted that the game had sold out about midday on saturday thought great my seats sold, then they emailed me half an hour before kick off telling me it hadn't. Not sure why they decided to declare the game a "sell out"

It's a sell out if all tickets are sold and doesn't take into account re-sales on the ticket exchange.

When did you list your ticket?

I've tried to use the Ticket Exchange a couple of times but had no takers for the tickets. As a result I probably wouldn't use it now.

I agree with Wilmslow Road that you're better off trying to arrange to sell to friends.

I've also used the ticket pages on Blue Moon a few times. I've never failed to sell a ticket there though have had to take less than cost.

If you want to pick the games that you go to and stay in your chosen seat then you have to go with a Season Card and make arrangements to sell the seat has best you can. For many of the games however it is possible to pick up odd seats through the ticket pages on this site. Obviously it's a bit more complicated but it's a significantly cheaper way of getting to some of the games (but obviously harder to get the most popular ones)

I used it once last season with Viagogo and it didn't sell, used it twice this season and both times the tickets sold.

But why would the club tell people its a sell out if there were still some tickets that could be sold? I can't remember exactly it was either the Thursday or the Friday before (8 or 9 days)

I've used the ticket exchange to sell my seat for Sunderland, Bournemouth and Everton, a 100% success rate so far this season, but last year there was a couple of games up for grabs that didnt sell. The only downside is the 6 match limit for selling your seat.

This is one of the points I had in mind, a game is shown as sold out 10 weeks in advance but for any number of reasons fans find they are unable to attend will the ticket site show seats available.

From this season there is no limit, you can sell as many as you like.
