Ticket Points Sales Tracking

We’d all love for away tickets to be 100% sold by loyalty points, but in the modern, greed is good world, in which we live, that isn’t going to happen. If a corporate paying tens of thousands of pounds a season, or a sponsor pumping money into the club wants four tickets for Liverpool away, then they will get them, we might not like it but they will. However there should be mechanisms put in place to ensure that they use them legitimately and aren’t sourcing them to make a profit.

There is a battle to be fought with the club over this and where they could meet us half way is the guarantee of 60% sold via loyalty points, and transparency over who has got what tickets. Anybody found to be putting tickets on resale sites should be sanctioned and barred from applying for a designated period, irrespective of whether they are bog standard general admission season ticket holders or corporate, sponsors etc.

I don’t think that’s too much for us as supporters to ask of the club.
Should be an absolute given

What’s the point of any of the supporter groups or reps if basic things like away allocations are not at the forefront. I think people accept that some tickets are siphoned off and resold to corporate etc, but if there was a cast iron guarantee of the allocations at least we would know what to expect

What was promised should be guaranteed. My reckoning is it’s 57% with the 60%, less three / fifths of the 18-25 allocation.

As others have commented, it’s surprising to see “eligible groups” added like ex players when those tickets could come out of the allocations to staff / management etc.

Don't be naive. If someone is paying us millions of pounds a year, they're going to get tickets. It's even written into the contract. I know Hays got them as I was at a game and saw someone I knew from when I'd done some work for them. He told me they got 4 tickets for any game they wanted them for.

No one has an issue with a last minute emergency meaning someone can't use their ticket and passes it to another blue.

But you're being naive again if you think the club didn't do their homework on away tickets. They were mostly very coy about their methods and I'm not going to talk about what little they did tell us but I'd be monitoring social media sites, having 'spotters' at games and doing test buying, among other things. Their evidence indicated that 25-30% of away tickets were being passed on and that's completely unacceptable. I know at least 2 former mods on here (not anyone who's currently moderating I hasten to add) were doing it regularly.

There was one game (might have been Cardiff away) where there were over 100 tickets available on this forum alone. I think that game (it was a 3pm kickoff on a Saturday) went to general sale and I was glad of the chance to go.
“ I'm not going to talk about what little they did tell us”
Consistent, I’ll give you that.
Transparency was never your / the club’s strong point sadly.

Would you advocate for a system , whereby every single ticket that goes to an OSC must be bought by someone with the requisite points? Dead easy to implement.

The only way would be names on tickets and produce ID at turnstile which would result in chaos, not a cat in hells chance that will be implemented over here.
Just think there should / could be a system whereby OSC tix can only be purchased by those with sufficient points.
It’s easily doable without recourse to names on tix etc. anyway, not going to happen so we soldier on!
