Ticket queues in Glasgow

why do they do this,,''make fans collect tickets'' i could understand if it was school kids but fully grow adults being treated like babies, i cant see any reasons they cant be posted out or collected from MCFC ticket office,am i missing out on something here??
This is to ensure the people who bought the ticket actually go to the game.

You present yourself with photo ID and you sign for your ticket and have a wristband attached.

You have to arrive at the ground with ticket and wristband.

The only way the person buying the ticket can pass it on to somebody else is by presenting themselves at the designated collection point then somehow removing the wristband (soap?) and passing it on to a third person. Waste of time if you have got to go to the trouble of travelling to the away venue then not actually go to the game.

Two questions :- 1, why's that kid not in school and 2, how many points has he got ? ;-)
I think he's the coach drivers son for one of the supporters clubs who must have had
a spare ticket so just give it him :+))
Don't think he's into football but he had double PE today and decided to give it a miss

There seems to be a lot of growing anger about the queues judging by social media:

The club need to address this new system. It's a huge inconvenience for fans.

I dont Europe away games and wouldn't on principle given the ticketing arrangements.

Treated like a criminal and absolute idiot and the crime? Wanting to watch your team play football.

No thanks and those at the club that think this is the way forward need to hang their heads in shame and should be looking for alternative employment as far as im concerned.

All this ticket business sounds a royal pain in the arse. If it is deemed totally necessary to have people going through a ridiculous procedure having paid through the nose to attend a football match then you would hope the club would have enough respect for the supporters to have enough staff at the collection point to distribute the tickets quickly and efficiently.

I am by and large a TV at home or in the pub fan these days, perhaps as well because I really dont think I could be arsed with some of the pantomimes it seems have to be endured before you even get through the bloody turnstile. Infact in some respects it sounds worse than the bad old days when it wasnt unknown to have to circumnavigate a gang of meatheads often on horseback, as well as opposing supporters lobbing bricks and bottles and the odd hot dog stand....It really does sound an absolute ball ache these days.

So instead of being able to go for a drink, City fans are standing in a queue for up to 2 hours waiting to get their ticket from people who are either under staffed or can't be bothered. Ridiculous.
