Ticket restrictions and resale warning for Galatasaray

If there are 100’s of Gala fans all over the Etihad, and there is trouble between the fans, there will be a massive backlash against the club and the directors again after the game.
The club have been warned by the fans about away fans being in the home ends, which is spiralling out of control, due to match tickets and hospitality packages being available to buy on the clubs 9 official ticket touting partner websites.

Note: As advertised by the club, Safe Ticket Buying.

There are only 420 or so away tickets available and they will be gone in seconds, if only for the novelty and the “I was there” factor and the predicted-15/20c temperatures
I thought you were involved with an OSC. How can you not realise this? Most branches don’t even get a single ticket
Though no doubt your mate Parker will ensure loads for Bredbury
You need to read the thread again. I was responding to East Stand Level 2 and agreeing that it’s unlikely that the home stands vs Gala will be packed with Blues.

I was also making the point that Bodo are very good at home and Gala might not be a dead rubber.

Your post has no relevance to what I wrote.

And they’ll only blame City fans for it like all clubs do when this happens.

Barcelona blamed their fans for this happening at a Europa League quarter final:

…as many as 30k Frankfurt fans took over the Camp Nou.

United blamed their fans for Rangers taking over chunks of Old Trafford:

…yet there’s no way that chunks of ST holders all decided randomly to sell their tickets on to away fans in concentrated areas of the stadium. The chances of that happening at random in seats right next to each other, below and above, side to side, like that must be incredibly low.

You only have to see City’s X post saying that a lad who suffered a broken leg in a fight which was so badly broken needed operating on, wasn’t serious. Or when they put a statement on the OS condemning our fanbase for ‘tragedy chanting’ against Lpool when what was sung at the game wasn’t tragedy chanting.

They’ll lay the blame on us without a second thought.

I wonder if they are going to do checks on people buying tickets for this game from their ticket tout partners, because they don’t usually?

Already on one of City’s official ticket tout partners, anyone in the world can register their interest in the Galatasaray game: https://www.p1travel.com/en/football/champions-league/manchester-city-vs-galatasaray

^this is the website that dishes out as many tickets as anyone wants, usually with no checks on who the people buying support. Anyone can buy tickets for 2 to ‘More than 10 people’… here’s a s-shot from another game at the Etihad from this site:

Sorano and his mates, started all that off at Barcelona during their tenure and loads stopped going. Seems to have gotten worse before it got better for Barca fans after the frankfurt

My apologies, misread it. My bad

Off topic, but relevant, this is one of the reasons why City put a £35 premium on new memberships.

Otherwise it would be open to every chancer from every rival club.

However, with the new CL Format meaning an extra home game, plus all the seedings and 6 English clubs in the draw, there was almost an inevitably that City would eventually host Galatasaray

The ticket restrictions will prevent new members gaining tickets,.but not those who had already slipped the net and maybe attended 3 cheap cup games last season (Watford Huddersfield Plymouth etc)

This doesn't necessarily guarantee trouble so we'll just have to see how it all pans out.

Again you don't need any membership or match going history to buy from the 3rd party ticket sites the club actively promote. This means any criteria the club impose are irrelevant to fans who are wiling to pay a higher price, this is clearly a policy of profit over safety.

Took me less than 10 seconds to go onto Viagogo and make out I was interested in tickets.
Went all the way except put in my card details - no proof of past history asked for nor was I asked which team I am supporting

Block 329 (should be 229) is a general admission block. Throwing in an offsite meal doesn't make it a hospitality area. It was a blatant and barefaced lie when they said it was only hospitality areas that would be sold on viagogo.

Then were selling them at half price as a black Friday deal
One of the restrictions with Champions League tickets is that you have to have been a Citizens member before the date of the Champions League draw this year.

Don’t have to be an active member before this date, just a member and you can buy this season’s Match Day Membership, after the draw :0)

The £35 Citizens Annual Match Day membership is just a money grab scheme, nothing else!!!

Why charge less for Citizens Membership for non match day members that don’t go to games, but want to feel like they are part of something??

If they wanted to they could charge a lot less to cover their expenses to run a similar supporters scheme and restrict any new memberships to a date in advance of CL Draw dates, otherwise no CL Tickets allowed to be purchased in that particular season??

With AI and their own IT systems they can easily detect, if they want to, whose buying the ticket and why??

Block 329 (definitely not 229) did have a Lucky Cat section for sale as hospitality by the club before it transferred to Viagogo.

There wasn't much demand for some games and Viagogo have sold the whole packages, including fees, cheaper than a GA ticket for some games. It was a response to the drop in demand with the north stand extension, and stops fans complaining to the club when their £250 package was on sale for £30 a month later.

Hi everyone, we're a family from Italy who support ManCity. Last year we came to the stadium to watch the match against Bruges, and this year we're coming to Manchester for the match against Galatasaray. My son has a Junior Membership from 2024, but we can't buy tickets from the official mancity site. Can anyone help me? I've also looked on some partner sites, but the packages are very, very expensive...
