Fair enough Andy, fir the record our ticket office staff deserve alot of credit for their hardwork it can't have been easy for them over recent weeks.

And Dave I know what you are saying it isn't new but it is for us! I'm just making the point that the FA have been allowed along with FIFA/UEFA to take football away from the genuine working class fan and it's time the fans fought back as it has gone too far now. They are getting away with murder and for people to just come on and say 'that's life' is pretty sad.

The fans come first for me and always should.

The MAtchday fans come last Kiam and that won't change.

That's why the semi was at Wembley

Erh the ground ie Wembley? If people want to get in and are willing to try hard they will find a way, the FA deserve to have a headache after this they bloody well deserve one.

The FA Cup final ticketing situation is nothing new, it's been going on for 50 years. It's a bit embarrassing hearing some blues going on as though it's some new rule.

Think you will find that clubs complain about this every year so nothing to get embarrassed about if you ask me. Unless you think City fans shouldn't react in the same way as fans of clubs that get to Wembley each year.

-- Wed May 04, 2011 12:36 pm --

I gave two club wembley comp tickets back. They were at opposite end of stadium, basically right in middle of Stoke end.

Couldn't take the risk...now I don't have any and favours are being called in left right and centre.

Missed out by 40 'loyalty' points.

People need to be aware of the risks. Club Wembley is indeed supposed to me a mixed zone, but they cannot legislate for ending up in hostile territory.

Hence, no club colours allowed. Until you jump and get a smack, anyway.

You missed out by 40 popints but as I showed on another thread. You chose to watch the cup games at home in comfort (your words not mine) this season and even told us about it in various "attendance" threads, along with saying you were happy to pay through the nose should we get to the final.

Anyway blues it's happy days so good luck to all who are trying to get there and if you can't fair play for trying.

In my opinion, the real issue is not the "corporates" but the "football family" tickets. When they built Wembley we all knew the cost was going to be 17,000 corporates. That still leaves 75,000 other tickets ie as many as any other ground in England could hold. City and Stoke get 50,000 which leaves a whopping 25,000 for the "football family" which seems disproportinate to me.

As DD has said however, this is not new at all. This has always been the case and is an issue most years. The trouble is it is only an issue for two clubs out of 92 league clubs and therefore nothing gets done about it. It is always an acute problem at this time of year, but actually is chronic as it happens every year.

Re Club Wembley, when you buy a debenture you buy all 12 tickets (6 interntional, finals etc). If however, you don't want to go to a particular match there is an internal market to sell them through ie to other Club Wembley members. So, you need someone who is a Club wembley meber to buy them for you.

Not sure how tickets appear on thes einternet sites, some of whihc were avaiable for the City or Stoke end before the ends were allocated.

And?

I chose to watch 'some' of the cup games from my home in respects of my wife giving birth to a new baby, the subsequent commitments that entails.

Which is why I also had to give the semi a swerve (you asked for my points on PM didn't you?)

You appear more pleased, than curious?

In terms of paying through the nose, that is not the issue.

The issue is that any City fans' loyalty over a prolonged period of time should not come down to the odd cup game here and there.

Or superceded by someone on a cup-scheme who probably weren't even aware it was going to afford them a queue jump.

I would wager a large proportion of the cup schemers either can't get to league games or had points well below the criteria.

I never picked up any points in my teens for six years without missing a solitary away game nor the requirement for a season-ticket when the average attendance was below 20,000 less than 20 years ago.

Why not keep the seats in the Stoke area and try and swap?

The tickets were from a person who just can't allow that to happen, more's the pity.

I wouldn't worry about being on the Stoke side of the stadium if I were you Tolm. It will be mixed wherever you are in Club Wembley, regardless of "end" of the ground. Majority City I'd say. And having your own tier means you can just give shit right back at anyone giving abuse from the normal seats. You'l be far from alone whichever side of the stadium you're on. There were lots of Blues doing the Poznan on the Utd side of the stadium at the semi.

If the person in question was legitamately able to purchase the club wembley tickets (i.e. a Club Wembley member), then get them to get in touch with there Club Wembley contact. They are doing all they can to organise swaps within the Club Wembley scheme to have the right fans together at the right ends where ever possible irrespective of where you own your seats.
