That **** that Danny Murphy gave MOTM to against us when we pumped Huddersfield 5-1 in the cup and was subbed off after 60 minutes
never understood that decision. Crazy hate for city

Not true. In 2011 they beat us at there’s and we drew at home. We’ve beat them twice. They’ve beat us once and we drew a game. I was at the 2011 game in Naples. That attaching side was brilliant.

Loved Insigne in that team, brilliant player. We had some tough, tough games with them.

Because they would walk their league if it wasn’t for the triple threat. They are far above any team in Italy. Conte again used the chance with his team having no others games beside the league. Even in the cup they were out already.
Obviously Serie a is a good league and Reijnders is a top player but no matter how good you are as a coach it someone like Billing is a bigger name and you win the league you know the league is weaker.
Billing isn’t a big name in Italy.

McTominay is though, which would be a much better example.

The intensity between PL and Serie A is completely different. Look how much time some Serie a players have when you look at their games. I also believe that Serie a has the most failures when moving players from Italy to England. I read an article about that some months if not a year ago.

This is my worry. As much as Serie A is not a WEAK league, it is a SLOW league. It’s the least compatible with the Premier League of all of Europe’s major leagues.

Even when Napoli dominated with Cavani, Lavezzi and Hamsik we always battered them in the Cl. Conte is just Him when it comes to the league ( no CL no Cup). The last time they won the league - played CL they ended up like 7th(?) I believe

This is just flat out untrue. We didn’t even beat peak Napoli, losing away and drawing at home. They also came very close to knocking out Chelsea that year (who went on to win it).

Cavani, even at like 35, was able to adapt to the Prem so that would give me some hope.

Signing from Serie A is quite hit and miss for PL clubs, but Reijnders feels like a hit to me. City haven’t done much shopping in Serie in recent years.

City’s post-takeover record from Serie A:

João Cancelo, £65m, Juventus, 2019
Stevan Jovetić, £22m, Fiorentina, 2013
Matija Nastasić, £12m, Fiorentina, 2012
Maicon, £3m, Inter Milan, 2012
David Pizarro, Loan, Roma, 2012
Luca Scapuzzi, Free, Portogruaro, 2011
Mario Balotelli, £24m, AC Milan, 2010
Aleksandar Kolarov, £17m, Lazio, 2010
Patrick Vieira, Free, Inter Milan, 2010

A very good player from what I’ve seen but needs to change his goal celebration.

reijnders watch anyone? Should have had an assist after a nice interception in midfield but Joao Felix fluffed it

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows

Here we go!
